Our client is a multi-award-winning engineering consultancy, looking for experienced Mechanical Design Engineers at either Senior or Lead levels with a background in transmissions or driveline (gears, axle, e-axle etc).
The company take projects from initial concept design through development and prototyping of future electrified powertrain and driveline systems for EV application across multiple vehicle types including passenger, off-highway, and electric aircraft. The company offer a clear progression plan as well as top-calibre training to allow you to diversify and grow your technical capabilities.
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will need to have experience in 3D design of either gears, transmissions, or electric motor mechanical packaging/integration as well as a wealth of mechanical analysis/simulation experience (FEA, CFD or NVH).
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:
• The design of hybrid and electric driveline/transmission systems.
• 3D CAD design using software such as - Catia, Solidworks, Creo, NX, AutoCAD.
• Mechanical analysis including; FEA, CFD & NVH.
• Leading small to medium projects yourself.
• Consulting with global customers, proving solutions and meeting project deadlines.
• Working within a multi-disciplined team of engineers, taking projects from concept through to prototype.
