The company is a well-known electric vehicle consultancy, and they are looking for experienced Motor Design Engineers with electromagnetic 2D/3D design/development experience to join their talented motor design team working on a range of different vehicle types (automotive, aerospace/eVTOL, marine etc).

As a Motor Design Engineer, you will be able to:
• Lead small to medium size motor design/development projects.
• Use 2D & 3D electromagnetic design software (JMAG, Flux, Maxwell, MotorCAD etc).
• Design electric motors for electric vehicles (traction motors ideal).
• Support the analysis of motors including: thermal, structural & NVH.
• Take a project from concept through to prototype, understanding design for manufacture and how to get a motor to hardware.

As a Principal Motor Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the above but also responsible for:
• Technical leadership of Engineers within the team, mentoring less experienced engineers.
• Leading project discussions with key customers across all types of electric vehicles.
• Supporting the business development team with creating credible proposals for customers.

As a Chief Motor Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the above but also responsible for:
• Leading the largest projects in the business and key stakeholder to the businesses’ biggest customers.
• Developing Lead & Senior Engineers within the team.
• Developing the technical capabilities of the motor specialist team.
• Identifying new opportunities for the company – new locations / new vehicle types to expand into.
