The company is an award-winning, global consultancy, and they are looking for talented Motor Design Engineers of all seniority levels to expand their team. They are continuing to grow at a rapid rate year on year and offer great progression opportunities.
They specialise in design and development of a vast range of electric vehicles, from automotive and marine, to commercial and aerospace.
As an eMotor Design Engineer, you will be able to:
• Lead some motor design/development projects.
• Effectively use 2D & 3D electromagnetic design software (JMAG, Flux, Maxwell, MotorCAD etc) to design electric motors for electric vehicles (traction motors ideal).
• Support the analysis of motors including: thermal, structural & NVH.
• Take a project from concept stage through development to prototyping, and have an understanding of design for manufacture.
As a Principal eMotor Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the above but also responsible for:
• Technical leadership of Engineers within the team, mentoring less experienced engineers.
• Leading project discussions with key customers across all types of electric vehicles.
• Supporting the business development team with creating credible proposals for customers.
As a Chief eMotor Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the above but also responsible for:
• Leading the largest projects in the business and key stakeholder to the businesses’ biggest customers.
• Developing Lead & Senior Engineers within the team.
• Developing the technical capabilities of the motor specialist team.
• Identifying new opportunities for the company – new locations / new vehicle types to expand into.
